Studio Gear

Pearmain Studios is located in a scenic olde apple orchard in Shelton CT. Centrally located between New Haven  and Danbury and an easy  train ride away from Grand Central. Whether you are a solo vocalist or seven piece  band we provide recording, tracking, mixing, rehearsal, production and mastering for all your audio and musical needs.

Pearmain Studios is acquiring new equipment often to create the best sonic quality for your recordings. Please call us if you have any questions about our current equipment list.

Our main DAW platform is Digital Performer   version  9. We can easily import/export to and from Protools, Cubase, Radar, Logic and many other platforms. Projects can be easily imported, tracked or  mixed remotely. The days of the 2″ tape machine are in the past. When needed  we work with Sonicraft in NJ for format transfers.

The control room  monitors, Emotiva Stealth 8’s are corrected for both room and speaker anomalies with ARC 2.0. In short – what you hear is your  mix NOT the room!  Our staff is knowledgeable of  one simple element of music. A good recording of a bad song is still a bad song.  A poor recording of a good song, just might be a hit!  We strive to make every recording better, new and different than the rest.   It is not always the tools of the trade  but the artist and song that makes a hit. Sometimes  production and arrangement are  missed by many talented artists. A great actor acts.  He doesn’t necessarily direct or write or film the movie.
